Ex-principal feted

Dr S. Rajeswar Rao, who served the New Science College of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Narayanguda) here for 35 years (10 years as principal and 25 years as lecturer earlier), was felicitated at a function at IIMS, Khairatabad, on his superannuation on Sunday.

A large gathering of principals and lecturers, students and well-wishers paid glowing tributes to Dr. Rao. He was honoured along with his wife, Dr. Vasundhara, also principal of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Junior College, Bagh Lingampalli. S. Gopalakrishnan, chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan institutions, Hyderabad, was the chief guest.

Dr J. V. M. Mallikarjuna, director, students affairs, has since been appointed the principal of the New Science College, a release said.
