National Commission for Safai Karmachari member Dilip K Hathibed has called upon the officials to take all measures for the welfare and upliftment of Safai karmacharies, who were striving to keep the city and villages clean.
Participating in a review meeting with officials here on Saturday, he asked the district authorities to allocate at least three to four acres of land and construct houses for safai karmacharis in the town under Ambedkar Awas Yojana. He also asked the municipal authorities to take measures to provide EPF to all workers and asked them informed them to organise health camps for once in three months for all Safai karmacharis.
He urged the Municipal officials to take measures for construction of a community hall for people at Valmiki street in the town.
