e-office software for Secretariat

The Telangana Government has proposed on-line scrutiny of files right from Section Officer to Chief Minister in the Secretariat with the introduction of e-office software developed by the National Informatics Centre.

As part of paperless administration, the government has contemplated to digitise files and circulate them at various levels on-line right up to the Chief Minister.

A feature of the system is that the files will also bear digital signatures of officers at all levels where they were vetted, sources said.

The digital Secretariat is aimed at maintenance of files from the time they were generated till the final disposal.
