Entries invited for wildlife photography exhibition

The Telangana Forest Department has invited entries for display in the ‘Wildlife Photography Competition and Exhibition’ on October 7 to mark Wildlife Week between October 1 and 7.

There are five categories in the competition – Wildlife in Telangana-General, Natural Landscape, Animal Behaviour and Social Life, Wildlife Conservation- In-situ and Ex-situ, and People and Wildlife including Eco-tourism in Protected Areas.

The photos should have been taken in Telangana and preferably in natural settings. Digitally-altered photos beyond standard optimisation (cropping, removal of dust, reasonable adjustments to exposure, colour and contrast) would be disqualified. Photo size should be A4, taken on fine quality matte paper with high resolution. Each candidate is allowed two entries in each category.

Entries may be sent to the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Telangana, Aranya Bhavan, Hyderabad-500004. For more details, mail to wildlifetg@gmail.com , a press note informed.

Best photos in the exhibition would be rewarded with prizes and certificates.
