An engineering student hanged himself to death on September 30. The suicide came to light on Tuesday. According to Kukatpally Housing Board Police, an employee at a hostel building in Addagutta Society noticed a stench emanating from one of the rooms , which turned out to be where M. Ramesh of Thungathury hanged himself. The police arrived at the scene and found the body in a highly decomposed condition.

“We do not suspect foul play in this case. The 21-year-old was alone when he hanged himself. Other inmates of the hostel had gone home for Dasara. The deceased’s parents said he had mood swings ,” said KPHB Inspector Ch. Kushalkar. He added that Ramesh did not leave a suicide note. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy and the case is under investigation.
