Eminent doctors to be felicitated

Three veteran and renowned doctors from Telangana – Prof. D. Raja Reddy, A. Gopala Krishna, and G. Shyam Sunder – will felicitated by the Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, said its CEO Dr. M. Chandrasekhar here on Wednesday. Dr. Reddy hails from Nizamabad district and had graduated from Gandhi Medical College. He worked as a neuro-surgeon professor in Gandhi and Osmania Hospitals and was also NIMS director from 1990 to 1993.

Dr. Krishna hails from Warangal district and had graduated from Osmania Medical College. He was also the head of the nephrology department. Dr. Sunder hails from Hyderabad and had graduated from Osmania Medical College in 1958, he had worked in various high positions in the Health Department. The trust has also acknowledged the role played by some of the hospitals towards providing better care to Aarogyasri patients. Accordingly, RIMS Hospital – Adilabad, St.Theresa Hospital – Hyderabad, Area Hospital – Karimnagar, District Hospital –Khammam, District Hospital – Mahaboobnagar, Area Hospital – Siddipet, Area Hospital – Suryapet, Area Hospital – Banswada, Anand Eye Hospital – Ranga Reddy, and Regional Eye Hospital – Warangal have been recognised, he said.
