Eight drown in separate incidents

Two youths washed away

Eight persons died after drowning in different incidents in Nalgonda district while two more got washed away in Krishna river in Suryapet district on Tuesday.

According to information reaching here, five minors, including three girls, drowned in a river at Kethepally of Nalgonda district, nearly 120 km from here, in the afternoon.

They were identified as Pujitha, 13, her sister, Satwika, 9, Teja, 13, her brother Sharil, 7, and another boy Pavan Kumar, 15.

These five minors entered the tank for bathing to get respite from and drowned.

In another incident, two girls, Manjula, 13, and Malia, 14, got drowned in a pit of water along Srisailam Left Bank canal at P.A. Pally of Nalgonda district of Telagnana.

A youngster died after drowning in a tank in Suryapet town. The victim was yet to be identified.

Two youngsters, Navya Teja and Rajesh, both aged about 23 years, got swept away in the Krishna river at Mattampally of Suryapet district.

They were yet to be traced.
