The police have identified certain suspicious candidates likely to appear for the medicine stream of the Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (Eamcet) to be held on Friday and passed on the information to the officials to keep a close watch on them in the examination hall.
Eamcet officials said such candidates were all over the State and their details had been passed on to the chiefs of examination centres where they were likely to take the test.
Additionally, the police have also decided to keep a close tab on such candidates on Thursday night and Friday morning, an official said.
Meanwhile, all arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the test. In all, 3,96,143 candidates have registered for the test including 2,91,078 in engineering and 1,05,065 in medicine stream. The test for engineering stream will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and for medicine from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. in 735 centres.
Eamcet-2013 Convener N.V. Ramana Rao appealed to the students to start early and reach the exam centre at least an hour before the scheduled time. No one would be allowed into the examination centre even if they were late by a minute.
Students should take the filled-in online Eamcet application form affixing the latest colour photograph and attested by a gazetted officer or the college principal and hand over the same to the invigilator after signing and affixing the left hand thumb impression in the presence of invigilators. SC and ST students should also produce attested caste certificates. If they do not submit caste certificates it might affect their result and the ranking.
