It was a dream-come-true for Gurram Sai Sreenivas who topped in the medicine stream in the EAMCET examination. ''I want to specialise in Neurology and serve in backward western Prakasam district after my studies and contribute my mite to improve the health condition of Chenchu tribals and other sections of people'', he said while talking to The Hindu .
Mr Sreenivas is the son of noted orthopaedician Mohanram and reputed ophthalmologist Radhika in this temple-town. Scoring 38th rank in the All India Pre-Medical Examination, he has already secured admission in the prestigious Banaras Hindu University as also Christian Medical College, Vellore.
Elated over the results, the boy’s parents said “he is free to choose any of the prestigious medical institutes and specialise in the branch of his choice.” Sreenivas was preparing for getting admission into JIPMER, Pondicherry as also AIIMS , New Delhi as well.
A product of Sri Chaitanya Junior college at Goshala in Krishna district, he had studied up to Class X in Delhi Public School at Nidamanuru, Vijayawada
