The toll in the Dilsukhnagar bomb blasts rose to 17 when an injured person Amrutha Ravi (25) died while undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospitals on Tuesday night.

Hospital sources said Ravi suffered a heart attack and died at 11.53 p.m.

Ravi hails from Begumpet Kamanpur village in Karimnagar district and was preparing for an examination for recruitment as a sub-inspector of police.

The Andhra Pradesh government had on Monday decided to hand over the probe into the blasts to National Investigation Agency (NIA). Authorities have not yet achieved any breakthrough in the probe.

No organisation has claimed responsibility for the blasts so far.
