Shafi Muzavar, wanted on conspiracy charge in the sensational Dilsukhnagar Saibaba temple blast that was carried out in November 2002 by a module linked to the outlawed terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, was arrested and brought to Hyderabad. The Hyderabad native He was lodged in prison here, after being presented before a court.

The bomb, concealed in a tiffin box and hidden beneath a scooter in front of the temple, killed two persons and grievously injured several. The attack was carried out by a module linked to the outlawed terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. Shafi was wanted in the case on a conspiracy charge. He was picked up by INTERPOL officials in Doha, the capital city of Qatar, and handed over to Telangana Crime Investigation Department sleuths.who were investigating the case.

It may be recollected that two alleged terror operatives accused of active involvement in the blast were killed by the police in encounters — one near the outskirts of Hyderabad and another in Karimnagar district.
