Forty youth of Indian origin from nine different countries will be visiting Telangana from December 10 to 15 as part of the ‘Know India Programme’ (KIP).

This is the first visit of KIP delegates to Telangana after its formation. The participants are coming from Fiji, South Africa, Guyana, Surinam, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius, Malaysia, Myanmar and Israel. The KIP is a special engagement programme for Diaspora youth between the age of 18-30 years of Indian origin in other countries.

Organised by Ministry of External Affairs in partnership with the State government, the programme aims to reconnect young Indian diaspora with their motherland and familiarise them with the various socio-economic transformations taking place in India and also expose them to Indian culture.

During their stay in Telangana, they will be visiting Hyderabad, Kolanupaka and Warangal and will also call on the Governor and the Chief Minister. The Department of Tourism, Telangana, which is coordinating the programme will host a State dinner for the participants on December 11.
