A dialysis centre would soon be declared open at the Government Area hospital in Jagtial town within a week, said Collector A. Sharath.

The Collector made a surprise inspection of the hospital on Friday and visited all the wards and interacted with the patients and doctors. Enquiring about the institutional deliveries, he said the implementation of KCR Kits had helped the hospital perform more than 350 to 400 deliveries per month.

Assuring recruitment of specialists at the Area hospital soon, he showed displeasure over the conduct of ECG and X-ray tests in a single room, causing inconvenience to the patients.

Expressing concern over the corruption by the para-medical staff, he ordered suspension of radiographer Ramesh for allegedly demanding money from the patients in spite of several warnings. DM&HO Sugandhini and hospital superintendent Sada Mohan were also present.
