Activists of the CPI (ML-New Democracy) and its student, farmer and labourer wings staged a dharna here on Tuesday demanding a judicial probe into the suspicious death of CBI Judge B.H. Loya in Nagpur over three years ago.

The demonstrators squatted at the Dharna Chowk here as part of a demonstration pressing for a judicial inquiry into the circumstances leading to the “suspicious death” of Judge Loya, who was then hearing the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case.

CPI (ML-ND) district secretary Gokinapalli Venkateswara Rao addressed the demonstrators.
