Stating that all district Superintendents of Police (SP) must take into consideration third-party analysis of their functioning, Director of Police Anurag Sharma said all of them should create a third-party group of five to six persons to provide feedback for the purpose.
Mr. Sharma also said that he meets 20 to 30 visitors everyday and solves their problems, as they say that that the concerned SPs were not giving them time. Warning the SPs, he mentioned that this would not be tolerated, as it is not a people-friendly policing towards citizens. The DGP was addressing them during a review for the next five years with all the police officials at his office
At the meeting, Mr. Sharma reviewed the re-organisation and formation of new districts, adaptation of technology, cyber crime, research and development, forensic, Maoists movement, training, traffic management etc. He said that the next meeting will be held after the Ganesh immersions and that it will be a unit and district wise review for two days.
Hyderabad Commissioner of Police M. Mahinder Reddy also said that the police is adopting the Hawk-eye system for full proof safety and security of citizens. He added that all 60 police stations in the twin cities will be modernised in the next five years and pointed out that the offence of riding vehicles without helmets by motorists is getting recorded in the command and control system. Cyberabad East Commissioner M. Bhagawat said that 70 percent of cases under his jurisdiction are land related.
