DGP attends his Ph.D. viva

Director General of Police Prasad Rao on Wednesday attended an open viva as part of his Ph.D. in physics at Sri Krishnadevaraya University.

Mr. Prasad Rao, a doctoral scholar at the SKU since the last four years, did his research on the dual nature of light.

Speaking to The Hindu , his guide Prof K. Ramakrishna Reddy said that Mr. Rao worked specifically on the particle nature of light and explained the nature and properties of light particles when diffracted and interfered.

Mr. Prasad Rao is learnt to have written two papers on the subject that have already been published in international journals.
