BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre has been implementing anti-people policies only to benefit the corporate houses and rich people and scrapping of subsidy on LPG cylinders is one such policy, State secretary All India Kisan Mazdoor Sangh V. Prabhakar said.

Addressing a gathering of women who staged a protest against the cutting of subsidy on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) refills, here on Thursday, he said that on the one hand the Government was stating that fuel prices all over the world were coming down on the other resorting to the increase in prices of all commodities.

Narendra Modi while reciting Swadeshi mantra was adopting policies in favour of foreign MNCs, the AIKMS leader said.

If the governments continue with such anti-people policies the voters would give a fitting reply in the next elections Mr. Prabhakar said cautioning the Centre and the State government. He demanded the Centre withdraw its decision of scrapping subsidies.

AIKMS leader V. Devaram, K. Gangadhar and P. Ramakrishna and PoW leader Godavari participated. Earlier, women cooked food on the road using firewood.
