Customs officials on Saturday raided the office of noted film producer and distributor Dil Raju at Srinagar Colony here for possible service tax evasion.

His big-budget movie Yevadu starring Ramcharan Tej, Shruti Haasan, Emy Jackson, Allu Arjun and Kajal, directed by Pydipalli Vishnu, is set for release on Sunday.

Interestingly, tax officials had raided the same premises on January 10 last year, a day ahead of the release of another multi-starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu . This film with Venkatesh, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha in the star cast and Ramayya Vasthavayya with Junior NTR and Shruti Haasan were big hits last year. When a similar raid was conducted on the premises of Mahesh Babu’s 1 Nenokkadine a day before release, it was reportedly found that the producer did not pay service tax.

Sources said the officials were digging out the cost involved in movie-making, marketing and distribution. BrindavanKerinta will go on the floor in March with fresh faces.
