‘Crorepati’ tax official in ACB net

A tax official K. Venkateshwar Reddy was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for possessing assets disproportionate to his income and produced in a court on Thursday. He is a senior assistant in the office of the deputy commissioner of Hyderabad rural division at Gagan Vihar complex.

A search in his flat at Nagole revealed that he was in possession of five plots on which he had constructed three multi-storied buildings (G plus five floors), one flat and four shops at Nagole and Vanasthalipuram, 444 grams of gold and one Tata Indica car, all worth Rs. 5.18 crore.
