MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and 12 other party workers appeared before Lok Adalat at Nampally Court on Tuesday to settle criminal cases registered against them in Bhavani Nagar police station in 2009. The cases were lodged by six MBT workers.

Approach Lok Adalat

Members of both the parties, who were involved in the cases, preferred for a compromise and approached Lok Adalat.

During municipal elections campaign in 2009, MBT and MIM workers clashed and cases and counter cases were registered against each other. Akbaruddin Owaisi’s name was also mentioned.

The MBT workers held talks with MIM leaders, went to the court on Tuesday, and completed the compromise formalities.
