More than 1,000 students from across the State took part in the first ever 36-hour “Apps” development marathon being held at Gurunanak Institutions (GNI)-technical campus in Ibrahimpatnam. The programme is being held in collaboration with Microsoft to dig out the intuitive knowledge of students to help them make careers resplendent.

Finals on March 16

The best 100 performers will be selected for finals to be held in Hyderabad on March 16. Mr. Joseph Lendis of Microsoft inaugurated the marathon, which has attracted students from far off places such as Nellore and Warangal. Students interacted with Mr. Lendis and asked various questions related to Application building, etc.

Gains popularity

G.S. Kohli, vice-chairman, Guru Nanak Institutions, said Applications commonly known as “APPS” were much popular these days and in near future people will completely rely on them.
