‘Create new seats for unrepresented BC castes’

The National Backward Classes Welfare Association has demanded that 50% new Assembly seats should be created and those castes that never had representation in Assembly so far, should be nominated in those seats.

At a meeting of the Telangana chapter of the association here, the leaders demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao immediately implement the 200 resolutions passed at the meeting of BC MLAs and MPs, and start a BC sub-plan with ₹20,000 crore. It also demanded 50% allocation to BCs in all industrial zones and reservation in the filling of judges vacancies in High Court and Supreme Court. The meeting was attended by R. Krishnaiah, president of the Association apart from Ryaga Arun. Vinay Shiva Shankar, P.L. Vishweshwer Rao and former MLA, Kaveti Sammaiah etc.
