The first Telangana State conference of CPI (M), beginning Sunday, will focus on the rich cultural diversity of the new State and the role that the CPI (M) would play in sensitising people about it, said party’s State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram.

The CPI (M) on Friday unveiled a model of the makeshift fortification and venue for its conference. The party general secretary, Prakash Karat, will inaugurate the conference at RTC Kalyana mandapam while Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, an activist of Progressive Democratic Students Union in his college days, will inaugurate the venue of the four-day conference – the Nizam College grounds.

Mr. Veerabhadram told a press conference that film actor Rajendraprasad had agreed to participate in an interactive forum during the conference to discuss the need for production of films to promote progressive thoughts.
