The Malkajgiri police on Saturday nabbed a couple -- Anil and Sneha -- for allegedly slapping a schoolgirl for posting an offensive comment against them on a social networking site.
Malkajgiri Inspector L.C. Naik said the girl, a tenth-class student related to Sneha, allegedly put up a comment on the social networking site that the two prospective bridegrooms shown to Sneha before her marriage with Anil were better looking than him.
Angered over this, the couple allegedly approached her near her school two days ago and slapped her, the Inspector said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the girl’s mother, the police booked a case against the couple and nabbed them.
