“Just go out, enjoy the game,” was the call given by China Open champion Kidambi Srikanth, at the launch of the Cyient Corporate Badminton League at the Gopichand Academy on Friday.

“More people now feel their kids can make a career in sports given some of the outstanding role models they have on the sporting front like Sania, Saina, Sindhu, Srikanth,” pointed out Gopi. “Corporates have a great responsibility to contribute to sports as it provides a platform for them to propagate their brand values and also help gifted talent,” he said. India’s chief national coach also suggested that corporate firms adopt at least one Olympic discipline. Cyient’s founder and executive chairman B.V.R. Mohan Reddy also spoke.
