‘Cooperate to rescue children’

Adilabad Central Crime Station DSP K. Narasimha Reddy on Saturday asked officials working on child labour and child rights to identify children from other States who are lost and living in Adilabad district. These children need to be handed over to their parents so that their future is saved.

Mr. Reddy was addressing a meeting of the officials on Operation Muskan. He said the aim of the programme was to spread smiles on the face of people whose children seem to have lost their childhood. The DSP asked the officials to identify out of school children and enrol them in schools. He said last year, 1,057 child labourers were rescued. through Operation Muskan in the district.
