Convicted officer dismissed from service

A government officer was dismissed form service following his conviction in a corruption case two years ago, after the Anti-Corruption Bureau wrote to the government seeking action against him.

Caught in 2011

G. Eswar, Development Officer, Handloom and Textiles, was caught by the ACB officials in year 2011 on charge of accepting Rs.5,000 bribe from a person while he was working at Nalgonda.

Eventually, the special court for ACB cases had held him guilty after completion of trial and sentenced him to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment.

The ACB Director General had written to the Telangana State government to initiate action against the officer in the backdrop of his conviction following which he was dismissed from service.
