The Congress party has criticised the Governnment for ignoring the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project sanctioned by the previous UPA Government and instead was interested in Pharma City project that will pollute the environment but serve the interests of people in the ruling party.
At a meeting on the ITIR project here, the Congress leaders vowed to fight against the Pharma City and demanded that the government bring pressure on the Centre for releasing funds to ITIR project. CLP deputy leader T. Jeevan Reddy said that IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao made no efforts to start the project that would provide employment opportunities to lakhs of people.
Mr. Reddy also criticised Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekar Rao for allegedly pushing Telangana into a debt trap and having failed to fulfill the promises made during the agitation. The CM is busy in re-designing the projects taken up by the Congress party for his personal interests and increasing the debt burden.
