All India Congress Committee Secretary Rama Chandra Kuntia expressed confidence that the party will commence its winning spree from Sangareddy.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, after performing Bhoomi Pooja for the arrangements of public meeting to be addressed by party vice- president Rahul Gandhi on June 1, Mr. Kuntia said that the party would from government in the State on its own after 2019 general elections.
The AICC leader termed the survey results announced by Chief Minister K. Chandasekhar Rao as ‘fake’ and dared him to let all those MLAs, who switched loyalties from Congress, TDP and YSRCP, resign and contest elections. He said that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao was not confident about his party’s strength and that was why he had lured leaders from other parties.
Stating that the Congress was not worried about survey results announced by KCR, the AICC leader said that about 50% seats in the coming elections would be allotted to youth. However, he could not answer what will be the ‘age of youth’ stating that anyone active is youth.
Former deputy speaker C. Damodar Rajanarasimha, MLA J. Geeta Reddy, former minister V. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, former whip T. Jayaprakash Reddy and others were present.
