The eight accused, who were brutally tortured by the police on the charges of setting fire to sand-laden lorries belonging to Jillela and Nerella villages of Rajanna-Sircilla district and lodged in Karimnagar district jail, secured conditional bail on Tuesday evening.

Sources said that the district first session court after examining the bail petitions had granted conditional bail instructing all the eight accused persons not to leave their villages and report to the respective police stations on every Sunday and Wednesday. They were also informed not to leave their villages without the court permission. They were also informed to provide security deposit of ₹10,000 each for granting conditional bail. The police had registered attempt to murder case under IPC 307 and other cases against the accused.

Sources said that all the eight accused persons would be released from the jail on Wednesday evening after completing all the formalities as per jail manual. The accused persons would be meeting their families after undergoing mental and physical torture on Wednesday after a gap of one month.
