For defaming TRS Minister

Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday lodged a complaint with the police seeking registration of a defamation case against All-India Congress Committee general secretary Digvijaya Singh.

On behalf of the Minister, local Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders filed a complaint at the Mahankali police station in Secunderabad. They charged Mr. Singh of naming Mr. Yadav in the sensational Miyapur land scam without evidence, damaging his reputation.

A similar complaint was also lodged by TRS Corporator Shantha Kumar — again on the behalf of Mr. Yadav — at the S.R. Nagar police station.

The police entered details of the complain in the General Diary.

“We will take action after seeking legal opinion on the content of the complaints,” the police said.
