The official logo of Telangana State Police was launched by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Tuesday. Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Director General of Police Anurag Sharma, Hyderabad City Commissioner of Police M. Mahendar Reddy and others were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister tagged the shoulder badge (logo) to the DGP and a few other senior police officers after launching the logo.

The Telangana State Police received several logo designs from enthusiastic citizens and artists after formation of the State. The logo designs were shortlisted by a joint team of senior police officers and officials from Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI). The Chief Minister himself evaluated the 15 shortlisted designs twice before finalising logo. The finalised logo was designed by noted artist Laxman Aelay.
