The results of the Civil Services (Main) examination were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday.
The Mains were held in October last and over 12,000 candidates appeared for the exam and about 2,200 candidates have qualified for the Personality Test (interview) to be conducted from March 4.
It is expected that about 70 candidates out of the 500-odd who took the Mains from the State might have cleared and qualified for the personality test. “This year they have given only ten days gap between the result and the commencement of the personality test. This is also the first time that the Main result has been declared in February and before the notification for the next year,” said V. Gopalakrishna of Brain Tree, a coaching institute.
The list of selected candidates is put on the UPSC website. The date and time of personality test is being intimated to the qualified candidates individually. The information is displayed on the Commission’s website www.upsc.gov.in
Candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, physical handicap and other documents such as Questionnaire, Attestation Form and TA Form at the time of their personality test. The formats of SC/ST/OBC and PH certificates and other forms can be downloaded from the UPSC website.
The candidates who do not receive communication should immediately contact the UPSC office.
The mark-sheets of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result.
