City temperature may touch 40 degrees today

The season’s highest maximum temperature was recorded at 39.7 degree Celsius in Hyderabad on Friday.

The MET office has forecasted that maximum temperature could touch 40 degree Celsius on Saturday. Weathermen have also forecasted thunder showers and cloud cover in few parts of city by Saturday evening.

Between Thursday evening and Friday morning, city received 4.2 mm of rainfall.

In Telangana on Friday, Nizamabad recorded a maximum of 42.4 degrees.

The temperature rose to 41.3 degrees in Mahabubnagar and it was 41 degree Celsius at Ramagundam. Temperature also soared in Rayalaseema regions.

Kurnool recorded a maximum temperature of 42.5 degrees, Tirupati was at 42 degrees and Anantapur recorded a maximum of 41.3 degree Celsius.
