CII delegation calls on KCR

A high-level delegation led by Confederation of India Industry (CII) president Ajay S. Shriram called on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at the Secretariat here on Monday.

Immediately after Mr. Rao assumed office, the CII was the first industry body to call on the Chief Minister. During the meeting, the delegation discussed various aspects covering power, Information Technology Investment Region, investment and branding Telangana, besides others.

The Chief Minister assured the industry that one of his main agendas was to address the power issues and ensure continuous supply of power to the industry. Mr. Shriram emphasised the need for collaboration to ensure greater job creation, which would ensure economic growth.

FAPCCI greets KCR

Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) has congratulated Mr. Rao on assuming office as Chief Minister. FAPCCI president Srinivas Ayyadevara, senior VP Shiv Kumar Rungta, vice-president Anil Reddy Vennam and other members sent congratulatory messages to him.

In a statement here, FAPCCI said it is looking forward to the rapid development of industry, trade and commerce in Telangana under the leadership of the Chief Minister and his council of ministers. FAPCCI extends to the Government of Telangana, its fullest cooperation for the economic development of the new State and wishes the new government success in its endeavours.
