The present State police headquarter office at Lakdikapool will be the office of the DGP of Telangana State. It will come into operation from June 2, while the adjacent CID office building would accommodate the office of the DGP of successor Andhra Pradesh State.
Though written instructions were yet to be issued, a decision to this effect was already taken at a high-level meeting, official sources said on Thursday. The offices of the CID for the two States would be accommodated in their respective DGP offices.
Initially, it was decided to allot offices of the DGPs of the two States in the present DGP office. But the proposal was changed owing to difficulties related to vehicle parking spaces and accommodating the staff.
