The employers were issued demand notices for payment of Rs. 20,000 each

Labour Department officials on Tuesday rescued four girl children who were employed as domestic labourers in houses at Madinaguda. They were rescued from the households of Vivek Dadu, Ramaswamy Naidu, Aleem and Ramnaresh Pandey, all from My Home Jewel residential complex.

“One of the children was brought here was paid only Rs. 1,000 per month. As it comes under the definition of bonded labour, we have sent a report to the Revenue Department for a case to be booked under the relevant act,” said Naresh Kumar, Deputy Labour Commi-ssioner, Ranga Reddy district.

The employers were issued demand notices for payment of Rs. 20,000 each, according to the Supreme Court order, and slapped with cases under the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, he said. The rescued children were sent to the State Home for Girls in Nimboli Adda.
