Late music director Chakri’s wife Shravani on Tuesday approached the Banjara Hills police alleging that some unidentified persons intentionally set ablaze the furniture kept at her husband’s office.

A minor fire broke out on the premises of the office on Monday night gutting some furniture kept in a garage outside the office. Based on a complaint the police registered a case against unidentified persons and are investigating.

Run over by bus

A person was run over by a bus while his two children sustained injuries in a road accident at Ibrahimpatnam late on Monday night. The man, B. Jagan of Kondapur was heading to his village along with his daughter Sweety (11) and Kajal (3) when his motorcycle collided with another bike at Ibrahimpatnam road. “The man fell off the bike and was trying to get up when an APSRTC bus coming from behind ran over him resulting in his death,” the police said.

Incidentally, his wife was travelling in the bus. Locals who rushed to the spot shifted the children to a private hospital for treatment.
