June 25, 2011 10:58 am | Updated November 16, 2021 10:39 am IST - HYDERABAD:

S. Chaitanya Reddy, who was arrested on the charge of killing his wife two days ago, was shifted back to Chanchalguda prison from Osmania General Hospital on Friday.

He was brought to the OGH for medical examination as directed by the court after Reddy complained to the magistrate that the police had tortured him to extract a confession and forced him to admit to the killing.

The OGH doctors, who conducted several medical tests, said Reddy suffered no internal injuries but 13 bruises were found on him.

The prison authorities will submit a report on the medical assistance extended to Reddy and the injuries he suffered.
