April 03, 2014 12:29 am | Updated May 21, 2016 07:59 am IST - HYDERABAD:

An employee of LIC from Warangal, P.L. Srinivas, on Wednesday appealed to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to order an investigation by the CBI into the death of his daughter P. Naga Sai Gayathri, who died in suspicious circumstances in her junior college hostel at Guntur 15 months ago.

In a petition presented at Raj Bhavan, he said that his daughter was strangled to death by someone in Bhashyam IIT Foundation College, Gorantla, Guntur, but the investigators failed to bring out facts. He said that no dog squad was called in to the college where his daughter was found dead in a bathroom with blood stains on clothes and on the floor.

He maintained that CLUES team reached the place 30 hours after his daughter’s death was reported on January 5, 2013. He stated that the college management removed all employees of the hostel, barring the warden, following his daughter’s death, and this action aroused suspicions.
