Lodh Kshatriyas, Yadavs, Gouds and a considerable chunk of Rajasthanis and Gujaratis hold a key in deciding the fate of the candidates in the eight divisions

Congress might have won the Goshamahal Assembly constituency comfortably during the general elections held a few months ago, but the party could be up against some stiff competition in ensuring a victory in the eight divisions of the constituency.

Close contest is on cards in at least four of these divisions given the caste equations coupled with minority votes that could influence the outcome. Lodh Kshatriyas, Yadavs, Gouds and a considerable chunk of Rajasthanis and Gujaratis hold a key in deciding the fate of the candidates in the eight divisions – Goshamahal, Begum Bazaar, Gunfoundry, Dhoolpet, Mangalhat, Sultan Bazaar, Dattatreyanagar and Jambagh.

Congress rebel candidate D. Mohan is sparing no effort in giving a tough time to M. Madhu Goud, , while Congress candidate Ramachandra Raju is heading for a close contest with the TDP candidate Anand Goud and BJP candidate Shankar Yadav in Sultan Bazaar division.
