The Jubilee Hills police on Tuesday registered a case against Tollywood film producer C. Kalyan for allegedly assaulting and intending to outrage modesty of a woman.
The film producer lives in an apartment building in Jubilee Hills Road No. 5. On Monday evening Kalyan had an altercation with a woman, who also lives in the same apartment complex, following a dispute over car parking. “The woman in her complaint stated that Kalyan threatened her during an argument that ensued during a meeting of the flat owners in the apartment on Monday evening,” DCP (West) A. Venkateswara Rao said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the woman the police registered a case under Section 354 (A), 506 and 509 of Indian Penal Code against Kalyan. “We are verifying the allegations. No arrests have been made so far,” the official said.
