Case booked against family for kidnapping girl

The Cyberabad police on Saturday booked criminal cases against eight members of a family for allegedly kidnapping a 19-year-old girl Prasanna in connection with a family dispute.

The family, hailing from Karnataka, met Prasanna at her residence in Hayathnagar and forcibly took her in their vehicle on the pretext of discussing the issue. When she raised an alarm, the family left her on the main road. Based on a complaint, the police booked a case against the eight family members and took them into custody.

In a separate case, the Saifabad police on Saturday registered a case against a private company for allegedly putting an obscene advertisement at Basheerabagh.
