The Kushaiguda police on Tuesday registered a case against Telugu TV news channel Zee 24 Gantalu following the direction of a local court in connection with the news telecast by it about the statement made by TRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao on repatriation of Seemandhra employees. An advocate P. Sanjay of Moula Ali moved the court alleging that the channel tried to create disharmony and hatred among the people of Seemandhra and Telangana by wrongly interpreting Mr. Rao’s statement. He maintained in his petition that while Mr. Rao said employees of Seemandhra presently working in Telangana have to go to Seemandhra after formation of Telangana State, the channel had telecast something else.
