Call for Public Services Guarantee Act

The Lok Satta Udyama Samstha Karimnagar district unit has urged the State government to introduce Public Services Guarantee Act to check corruption in the government on par with the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

Participating in the anti-corruption week programme at Trinity Boys Junior College in Karimnagar town on Thursday, Lok Satta district president N. Srinivas and general secretary Prakash Holla said that the corruption was rampant in the government offices of Karimnagar district. They urged the government to introduce the Public Services Guarantee Act at the earliest.

They sought Kerala model of policing and Karnataka model of Lok Ayukta to ensure transparency and check corruption in government offices in Telangana. They also asked people to approach ACB if any employee demands bribe for doing official work. Lok Satta district leaders R. Chandraprabhakar, K. S. Narayana, M. Gangadhar, T. Ganga Rao and others also spoke.
