March 02, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A businessman, Goverdhan Reddy (26), of Shamshabad, was murdered by unidentified persons on Saturday night. Reddy left his house around 10 p.m., saying he was going along with some friends. However, his body was found at a market near the Shamshabad Tahsildar office on Sunday morning. “The miscreants smashed his head with boulders, resulting in his death,” RGI Inspector T Sudhakar said.

Local people who saw the body informed the police who rushed to the spot. A sniffer dog and a CLUES team were pressed into service to assist the police. A case was registered under Section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code against the assailants.
