Burglars strike in Kushaiguda

Burglars struck at a house and temple under Kushaiguda police station limits on Sunday night and escaped with gold ornaments and cash.

They broke into the house of a private company employee Sambasiva Rao at Green Park Colony by breaking open the main door lock and made away with gold jewellery weighing 16 tolas and Rs.1.10 lakh cash along with a laptop. The theft occurred when Mr. Rao and his family went to Vijayawada to attend a marriage at their relative’s house.

The family returned home today morning and found that their house was burgled.

In a separate incident, burglars entered Sri Abhayanjaneya Swamy temple at Bhagawan Colony by breaking open the lock of iron grills and took away ‘hundi’ amount. The police collected clues from the two spots to nab those involved in the two incidents.
