A seven-year-old boy in Maqdhoom Nagar of Jagadgirigutta became a victim of the unnatural sex by his neighbour Shiv Kumar Jha, the police said on Tuesday.
Twenty-year-old Jha hailing from Bihar works in a private factory. He lured the boy to his house on Monday evening and sodomised him, Jeedimetla Inspector M. Sudarshan said. The boy’s father, who was looking out for his son as the latter didn’t return home, went to neighbouring Jha’s house and found the boy injured.
Jha had fled by then. Hunt is on to nab him.
In addition to the relevant Indian Penal Code section, the police also invoked the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act against the accused.
