Bonalu celebrated at MCRHRD Institute

Bonalu festival was celebrated with gaiety and fervour on the campus of Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute of Telangana on Friday.

A large number of officers, faculty, staff and trainees participated in the celebrations and the campus wore a carnival-like atmosphere. The Bonalu procession started from Vivekananda Block and culminated at the temple on the campus.

A team of artistes, dressed as various goddesses and mythological characters, participated in the procession. They danced energetically to the drum beats along with balancing pots on their heads. A captivating fusion of dance and acrobatics captured the imagination of the spell-bound gathering.

Several employees of the institute matched step-for-step with the artistes and enthralled those present on the occasion. Special Chief Secretary (Planning) B.P. Acharya, who is also the Director General of the institute, and the team of senior officers, IAS trainee officers witnessed the celebrations.
