An automotive Body and Paint Technician training module has been launched, as part of the Toyota Technical Education Programme (T-TEP), at the Government ITI at Sanathnagar here.

The BP T-TEP programme, a one-year syllabus, will impart training on basic body and paint repair skills in addition to the dealer-specific requirements to students.

A release on the launch, by Minister for Labour, Employment and Training Departments Nayini Narasimha Reddy on Tuesday, said T-TEP exposes students to the latest technology in automobile repair and facilitated on-the-job training at nearby Toyota dealerships. The institute instructors would also be trained in the latest technology used in the automobile industry.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) already has a general training T-TEP in Hyderabad in association with HEH The Nizam and Alladin Technical Institute-Industrial Training Centre. Across the country, T-TEP is associated with 46 training institutes.
